Flora Tropica Gardens is situated five kilometers from Savusavu Town on the bay-side and comprises five acres of hillsides and creek flats made traversable by elevated timber walkways and stone paths. The rest areas along the walkway have glorious views over the garden and across Savusavu Bay.

The highlight of the gardens is the palm collection with more than 250 species from across the world that includes many that are classified as rare and endangered species.  Other plants include various flowering trees, many varieties of variegated and flowering shrubs, and more than 40 types of tropical fruit trees. Also orchids, heliconia, water lilies, and much more.

The Gardens cater to tourists from cruise ships, yachts, and resorts as well as holding special events such as weddings. It will also be a venue for artists and bird-watching and for those interested in the conservation of threatened plant species.
