The story of Henkell Freixenet begins with Adam Henkell in 1832; Pioneering spirit, discoverer, and man of pleasure. First, he founded a wine shop in Mainz, then he created Henkell Trocken in 1856 – and laid the cornerstone for the company. A few years later, Freixenet Cava Winery was established in the north of Spain, and it has since developed into the world’s leading supplier of the finest Cava. Together, Henkell Freixenet are the largest Sparkling Wine producer worldwide.
