The Hibiscus Festival from 2010 onwards entered a modern chapter in its long history, balancing tradition with the changing expectations of a new generation. As technology, social media, and digital storytelling became part of everyday life, the festival adapted while continuing to honour its roots in community celebration, charity, and cultural expression. Although some years faced interruptions and challenges — including periods where festivals were postponed or not held — the Hibiscus Festival remained an enduring symbol of Fiji’s community spirit and national identity.
