Tiko’s Floating Restaurant

Lovely Fijian food, guaranteed a pleasant dining experience, accompanied by arguably the best views in Suva–Tiko’s Floating Restaurant is Fiji’s one and only floating restaurant specialising in fresh seafood and steak, located in Suva Harbour.

The large menu features a range of local and international dishes using fresh local produce. The “blackboard” menu changes depending on the daily catch and seasonal offerings, accompanied by an excellent all-you-can-eat salad bar, which provides you with a great opportunity to try some of the more traditional side dishes, with vegetarian options available.  Local favourites include the famous curry mud crab, lobster mornay, crab in coconut cream, surf & turf, and fresh fish cooked to order.

On certain nights, you can catch live performances from local musicians for a holistic dining experience. We also cater to vegetarian options.  With exceptional service and very patient and helpful servers willing to spend those extra few moments explaining the more obscure dishes you are curious about, this courtesy elevates the venue above other restaurants.  I definitely recommend making a reservation, as this place is popular.

Fiji Journal Top Tip 1 – If your tummy is not reliable on a moving boat, choose a day or evening when the weather minimizes the possibility of a little rock and roll.

Wicked Walu Restaurant

Wicked Walu Restaurant has become one of the most affectionate and fondest memories felt by many people travelling to the coral coast while on their adventures in Fiji. Wicked Walu Restaurant is a venue that is very relaxed and informal but maintains a special and unique setting. Voted the #1 TripAdvisor-rated top seafood restaurant in Fiji, it is a perfect venue for a romantic dinner.

Located on its own little secluded island, you can listen to the serenading local artists strumming the ukulele in the background, with the waves gently lapping up and caressing the shoreline, while you enjoy the delectable selections of dishes, including grilled seafood, chargrilled steaks, and decadent desserts. This is truly a must if you find yourself on the coral coast.  Pre-plan and make a reservation, as this place is very popular

Small Plates

This has to be my favourite restaurant in Nadi and the surrounding areas, described as a romantic hidden gem, Small Plates is a relaxed small restaurant that serves some mouth-watering Chinese-style cuisine in a garden setting, directly off the main throughway to Nadi and Namaka. As soon as you step over the threshold, you are transported to a beautiful, relaxed setting.

This place has it all. The food is some of the best you will find in Fiji; we recommend their famous sizzling plates and wontons. The amazing atmosphere draws you away from the hustle and bustle of the main town, and the staff is wonderful and laid-back. A great change of pace from the resort’s offerings, with local musicians playing regularly throughout the year.

Every time I have frequented this establishment, it has always delivered. I highly recommend a visit to this small spot of delight on your holiday to the islands.  You will not regret it.

Kanu Restaurant

Chef Lance Seeto has become a local celebrity in Fiji, known for his passion for using local ingredients and traditional techniques. Chef Seeto’s cuisine has been described as a fusion of flavours and a reflection of his travels and experiences.  He currently has two restaurants, one in Martintar, Nadi, catering to the tourism market, and the other in Suva City, the capital of Fiji.

Our team has gone to the restaurant several times over the last few years to savour the masterfully crafted food and complimentary beverages Seeto and his team have to offer. If you want to explore a Fusion of Fijian culture through food and drink, there is no better place.
