Crusoe's Retreat

Nestled on Fiji’s famously beautiful Coral Coast and surrounded by lush jungle foliage, towering palm trees, and sun-drenched shores, Crusoe’s Retreat offers a truly special Pacific Island experience regardless of whether you’re here for romance, business, adventure, or relaxation. With a Fijian village right next door, traditional bures, an off-the-beaten-track locale and friendly, local staff, Crusoe’s Retreat embodies all that is real, beautiful, and enchanting about Fiji. In fact, Crusoe’s Retreat is Fiji’s oldest operating resort – we were the original, and we’re committed to protecting and celebrating our history.
We offer 28 beautiful traditional bures – each with its own charms, quirks, and quintessentially Fiji vibes – which fall under four categories:
  • SeaView Bure | Perfect for single travelers or couples on a budget, our six SeaView Bures are perched on a hillside overlooking fruit trees, beautiful gardens, and some of the world’s best ocean views.
  • Deluxe SeaView Bure | Boasting dramatic views over Crusoe’s’ tropical gardens and sandy shores, our Deluxe SeaView Bures are perfect for couples or small families.
  • SeaSide Bure | Sitting pretty in Crusoe’s tropical gardens, our SeaSide Bures are incredibly private yet offer easy access to the sandy beach, pool (and pool bar!), and resort grounds.
  • Deluxe SeaSide Bure | Our most private and coveted accommodation quarters, reserved exclusively for couples, are a beautiful collision of history and modern-day romance.
Crusoe’s is famous for its delicious, fresh, authentic island cuisine, which is always presented with a smile one of the world’s most beautiful tropical settings.

Residing on a lush tropical island certainly has its benefits – we offer the finest fresh ingredients from both the land and sea. Whether it’s fresh fruit at the breakfast buffet, or our one of our innovative fish dishes, our local chefs are renowned for delivering mouth-watering food memories.

Embrace being on ‘island time’ and let the sound of the Lali drum signal the serving of meals. And don’t forget to complement your gastronomical adventures with our full bar service – we’ve got a range of local beers on tap, imported beers and spirits, delicious cocktails and both imported wines and local favourites.  Taki Beach Bar & Grill
