The quintessentially Fijian adults-only Tropica Island Resort, located on Malolo Island in the breathtaking Mamanuca Islands group, is thrilled to announce the near-completion of its extensive renovation and refurbishment project, marking a significant milestone in its journey towards offering an unparalleled guest experience.
Adults-Only Tropica Island Resort Unveils Stunning Enhancements
Embracing the authentic and joyful spirit of Fiji, the resort has undergone a series of enhancements aimed at further enriching its already blissfully beautiful property. With just 24 stylishly appointed bures and suites, the resort caters to discerning travellers seeking an intimate and sustainable escape in paradise.
The latest phase of the renovation has seen the completion of several key upgrades, including the renovation of both the ocean-view Lakalaka Bar and the waterfront Lakomai Bar. Along with a new menu, guests can now indulge in delectable cuisine and refreshing beverages in two distinct waterfront settings, each offering its own unique ambience. An extensive re-tiling project has seen the main infinity-edge pool and all private plunge pools revitalised while the already lush tropical gardens have been expanded to provide a vibrant and verdant backdrop for guests to enjoy.
As part of the resort’s commitment to sustainability, new water sports equipment, including kayaks, SUPs, and snorkelling gear, have been introduced to encourage zerocarbon activities. Further stages of the renovation will see the upgrading of the resort marina to welcome up to four vessels at a time and the addition of eco-friendly Palmex Thatching to all bures, enhancing both aesthetics and environmental consciousness.
In addition to these exciting developments, Tropica Island Resort is delighted to welcome back former Executive Chef Mohammed Shamim Ali as Director of Food & Beverage. Chef Mohammed, renowned throughout the Mamanuca Islands for his delicious and authentic cuisine, returns with enhanced culinary skills gained during his tenure with the IHG group of hotels.
“We are thrilled to announce the near completion of our renovation project, which underscores our commitment to providing guests with an unforgettable Fijian experience,” said Sue Cecconi, Director of the resort. “With our stunning enhancements and the return of Chef Mohammed, we are poised to elevate the guest experience to new heights of excellence.”
The renovation is scheduled for full completion by July 2024, promising an even more enchanting and sustainable retreat for travellers seeking the ultimate in Fijian hospitality.
