Fiji Whistler
The Fiji Whistler is a colourful songbird with regional variations across the islands. Some have yellow throats, common on northern and central islands such as Vanua Levu, Viti Levu and Taveuni, while white-throated forms are found on southern islands including Kadavu, Gau and parts of the Lau Islands. Males have a golden belly, black hood and chest band, with olive upperparts and wings. Females are duller and usually lack the chest band. They are typically found in mature forests and secondary growth.
