Tropica Group of Companies is delighted to announce the appointment of Mrs. Makereta Tuitoga Qalo as its new Head of People & Culture, effective 23rd June 2025. In this role, Makereta will lead the company’s global HR function, overseeing talent acquisition, employee development, compensation and benefits, and HR operations.

Makereta joins the Tropica Group of Companies from Tourism Fiji, where she held the position of Human Resources Manager. She brings over 25 years of experience in human resources, with a strong background in talent management, employee engagement, HR policy formulation, payroll and leave administration, executive payroll outsourcing, performance management, international contract management, engagement programs, workplace compliance, and more.
She is also a member of the Society for Human Resource Management and the Australian Human Resources Institute.
