Tanoa Hotel Group, a part of the Reddy Group of Companies, has long been a committed supporter of the Fiji Cancer Society, making annual donations to aid the fight against breast cancer. These contributions are facilitated through the Reddy Foundation, which was established in 2015 to support individuals, projects, and organizations that create meaningful social and environmental change for the benefit of local families and communities. This year, Tanoa Hotel Group, in collaboration with the Fiji Cancer Society, launched the theme “Awareness into Action” with the “Walk for Pinktober” event on Tuesday, October 1, at My Suva Park from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM (Queen Elizabeth Drive).
Tanoa Hotels Pinktober Campaign Supports Fiji Cancer Society
At the event, Tanoa Hotel Group proudly donated $10,000 to the Fiji Cancer Society, continuing the legacy of Mr. Y.P. Reddy. Mr. Narend Kumar, Area General Manager, emphasized that the Tanoa Hotel Group’s support for cancer societies is an integral part of the company’s corporate social responsibility strategy.
“These contributions provide crucial support to those battling cancer,” Mr. Kumar said. “By working closely with local cancer societies, Tanoa Hotel Group ensures that its resources are directed toward initiatives that have a lasting impact on public health in the Pacific.”
Mr. Kumar also highlighted that the Walk for Pinktober serves to foster a spirit of collaboration and community support. “It’s an opportunity to unite in the fight against breast cancer and raise awareness for early detection and prevention,” he added.
Tanoa Hotels is not only helping to fight cancer but also playing a key role in promoting awareness, early detection, and community solidarity in the face of an increasing health crisis. This year’s Pinktober theme, “Awareness into Action,” underscores the importance of both raising awareness and providing support for cancer patients, especially in regions with limited access to healthcare services. The Group’s ongoing efforts remind us of the vital role the corporate sector can play in addressing public health challenges and improving the well-being of communities across the Pacific.
