The Distillery Co Fiji is already well known for their Fijian distilled world class products including the flagship Blue Turtle Gin, Vula Viti Vodka and KaloKalo Rum. Their production has reached capacity in their current location and in order to cater for an overseas demand they have announced plans to build a new distillery and tourist center in Nadi.
Tourism and Growth at The Distillery Co Fiji
Sitting on 9 acres the distillery building will be over 3000 sqm with a capacity of upwards of 500,000 liters per year. The bulk of the land will be given over to agriculture to grow the Fijian botanicals used in Blue Turtle, and sugarcane to produce ethanol. As part of this new initiative, they plan to create a tourism hub that will further the appreciation of Fijian sugar cane farming and the distilling process. They will also create a school for training bartenders and mixologists who can become front line ambassadors for the Fijian liquor industry.
The CEO, Paul Clark, said “this is a very exciting development for us and another large investment in the future of Fiji and the tourism industry. We are very thankful for all the support we have received and look forward to the next few years where we move int export and further promote Fiji on the world stage”.
