The campaign is grounded in compelling research that reveals the scale of the problem, with 85% of Australians reporting that they or their partner snore while travelling, and more than half saying it negatively affects their holiday. Sleep disruption goes beyond inconvenience, as nearly a third of travellers say they are regularly woken by their partner’s snoring, leading to fatigue, irritability, and diminished enjoyment. With poor sleep now ranking as the second biggest travel stressor, the findings reinforce just how critical rest is to a positive holiday experience, yet also how rarely the issue is openly discussed.
Recognising this gap, InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa has designed the Sweet Dreams Package to normalise conversations around shared sleep challenges while offering practical, stigma-free solutions. Developed in collaboration with sleep expert Shea Morrison of The Goodnight Co., the package takes a holistic approach by addressing both physical comfort and behavioural factors that influence sleep. Guests can access pre-arrival consultations for personalised guidance, as well as wellness experiences such as infrared sauna sessions and cold plunges, creating a comprehensive framework for improved rest.
The experience continues upon arrival with a curated Sweet Dreams Kit that includes targeted tools such as nasal strips, mouth tape, magnesium oil, and a deep sleep blend, all designed to support relaxation and reduce snoring-related disruptions. Combined with standard luxury inclusions like accommodation, breakfast, and full resort access, the package elevates the traditional holiday offering by prioritising restorative sleep. Ultimately, the initiative reflects a broader shift in travel expectations, where wellbeing and quality rest are no longer optional extras but essential components of a truly enjoyable getaway.
