Shangri-La Yanuca Island, Fiji introduces its latest culinary concept, Rum & Steak, at the iconic Black Marlin Tropical Bar, a venue renowned for its atmosphere and rich history on Fiji’s Coral Coast. This pop-up experience pairs premium charcoal-grilled cuts with curated rum selections, creating an intimate setting that celebrates craftsmanship and island spirit. Under the direction of Executive Chef Arnold Alphonsus, the menu features highlights such as the Yanuca Signature Wagyu Rib Eye, finished with bush-lemon butter and rum-glazed vegetables, alongside Grilled Navua Prawns and Coconut-Spiced Snapper.
“Rum & Steak offers something fresh and delicious at Black Marlin Tropical Bar, relaxed yet special. It’s about good food, great company, and continuing the story of this bar as a place to come together and enjoy,” said Francis Lee, General Manager. Guests can explore an exceptional rum collection sourced globally, from Jamaica and the Dominican Republic to Fiji, including the resort’s own Yanuca Rum, infused and bottled exclusively for Black Marlin Tropical Bar.

Rum & Steak reflects the hospitality we want to share,” said Mohammad Asif, Director of Food & Beverage. Rum & Steak joins the resort’s dining portfolio, which includes Takali Asian Kitchen, Golden Cowrie Coastal Italian, Beach Bar & Grill, Lagoon Terrace, and Reef, each reflecting culinary creativity, sustainability, and the warmth of Fijian hospitality.
